JostArriba Bliss Balls Recipe
Total Time: 5 minutes
Serving Size: 20 blissful balls
Ingredients
1 cup almond flour
½ cup vegan protein powder (unflavored and unsweetened)
1 serving JostArriba
2 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp chia seeds
⅔ cup raw almonds
½ cup roasted pecans
½ cup peanut butter
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp almond milk
Optional: ⅓ cup cacao powder, chocolate chips
Method
- In a blender or food processor, place the almonds, pecans, protein powder, flax seeds, chia seeds, cinnamon, JostArriba, cacao (if desired) and blend until it forms the texture you desire (blend less for more texture, blend more for smoother texture).
- Add in the nut butter, almond milk and maple syrup, and blend until a paste is formed. The mixture should be a little sticky and roll easily into balls when squished together.
- If your mixture is too dry, add some 1 tbsp of almond milk and blend. If the mixture is still dry, repeat this step.
- Optional chocolate chips: Pour the mixture into a bowl and stir in the chocolate chips.
- Use a spoon to roll the mixture into tablespoon sized balls.
- For best results, store in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within a week.
Notes:
Equipment (optional) - use a food processor, blender or a Thermomix.
Maple Syrup - You can substitute maple syrup for honey, or 3 medjool dates. If using medjool dates, you will need to blend these first on their own, and then follow step 1. Nut butter alternative - if preferred, you can substitute the peanut butter for almond butter.
Other nut options - replace the almonds with cashews, or walnuts.
